Day 3- More Lahaina

Our hotel is known as Maui's most "Hawaiian" hotel. We attended a welcome breakfast they invite all guests to. It was a nice buffet accompanied by a guest services presentation about where to go and what to do while on the island. We were also treated to traditional
Hawaiian music and dance from the staff. The giant Tiki in the garden (behind Kerry).
The Plumeria trees are abundant! In the mornings there are perfect flowers all over the lawn blown down by the night wind. We saw an employee out early one day raking them up. I would choose my blossom for the day and in the hair it would go!
It was back to Lahaina for us today which meant a trip to Banyan Tree Park. This botanical beast is 135 years old and gives shade to 2/3 of an acre! All we could think was, "The boys would go crazy in this."
Today we had lunch at Pacific' O. A lovely beachside restaurant where we watched surfing lessons taking place among several groups. Unfortunately, there were no waves.
This was a curious drink called a Lava Flow. It was like a pina colada but with a strawberry swirl, too. It was great!
Kerry ordered the tempura fried oysters. There's the orchid again. This was also my first time having fish tacos. I was pleasantly surprised!

This is a view of the ocean from Lahaina Harbor.

I love me some fish tacos...can't believe you had to wait until Hawaii to try some. We've got to get there. Waiting to see what you prepare with pineapple and coconut.
