This is the last photo taken of Max's rescued pet, Pinchy. He was placed in water and pondered over for two days. Boiling him seemed futile and cruel now that there was just one to boil alive. Setting him free could mean trouble down the road. Of course, he'd love our pond! After an afternoon of errands Mother Nature made the decision. Pinchy was not in his "home" so I followed the trail from the table to the grass. There was bird poop nearby, then a puddle on the chair, more water on the patio, crawfish legs, a tail shell and an empty head. I'm no Sherlock Holmes, but I think a bird got Pinchy.
Rest in peace, buddy.
