My Kitchen Garden

In my small "do whatever you want to it" kitchen garden I love growing things that I can actually use in my home. There are currently 20 buds on the rosebush that will be in vases all over the house once they bloom, perhaps joined by some lavender or my new delphinum.
I am also excited about all the tomatoes on my new patio plant! I don't eat tomatoes, but someone in the house will. The other herbs we use from the garden are chocolate spearmint (which smells like chocolate spearmint), garlic chives (great in everything), rosemary, and basil. Our lemon tree hasn't had fruit in a few years due to low rainfall; but it is looking much bigger and stronger now. I saw a flower finally a few weeks ago.
I let Bryce pick something to plant in the garden. He chose cantaloupe- 9 small plants that we planted throughout the kitchen garden with Taco, our rusty metal garden chihuahua.

I have a lemon tree that has flowered several times this year, but no fruit. I was wondering if I needed two so they could cross pollinate...do you know?

Fry those maters!
