Endymion

We finally arrived in town early afternoon on Saturday. Kerry squeezed in a haircut from his favorite stylist and we picked up Russell for Endymion. Kerry's sister, Melissa, and her family were already set up across from what used to be one of my old haunts, Friar Tuck's. It turned out to be a great spot for the kids to catch lots of throws at their first big parade!

Ian and Merrick enjoyed hanging out.

Who says nothing's free? The street cart vendor gave Ian this candy apple that made his night....and a sticky mess.

Russell got in some of his "Parran" duties and happily toted Ian up to the floats for a closer look.

Mommy caught Ian's favorite pair of beads.

We headed out to Metairie to try and catch some of the three parades rolling that night. We saw two floats then waited.....and waited.....and waited for the third parade. The kids were more interested in their bag of Doritos and the music coming from Daquiri Bay Cafe so we decided to call it a night.
