Crawfish Boil, April 2007

Every year Randalls has a crawfish weekend when they have a truckload of live mudbugs delivered and sell them at a special price. This year it was 99 cents/lb. Not too bad; but they've done 69 cents in the past. We picked up 3 sacks (105 lbs) and had 33 people passing through all day Saturday from 2:00-9:00 to share the food and fun.

Kerry with Mike Triche ("King of the Boil"). As any true coonass would, Mike has had a boiling pot custom made for his boils and is large enought o fit across two burners! This was his first boil that he attended and did not have to cook. Not knowing what to do in that situation, Mike came early to get the scoop on crawfish weight, size, seasoning used, vegetables added, etc.
