Day 6- Ho'okipa Beach

Today we said "good-bye" to west Maui and headed over to the east side of the island. Along the way we passed fields of sugar cane and bamboo and checked out the north shore waves. Ho'okipa Beach is famous for some of the best windsurfing in the world. There was not much wind today; but plenty of hungry surfers trying to catch a wave. (See the field of sugar cane behind the beach.)This bamboo forest seem to bow and greet us as we drove by.
