If you're not a mom I need to point out...mom's need a night out! One thing I've always told Kerry is, "I know you work hard all day; but you get to do things like take an hour lunch break or go to the bathroom alone." Our Mothers of Young Children group from the church has a monthly "Mom's Night Out" just for this reason. We are officially "off duty" when we leave the house. Yay! This month was at Main Event for two games of bowling and a round of laser tag...oh and margaritas, beer, etc. The bowling was great although most scores never saw three digits and I think the highest was only around 117. The laser tag was a blast! Inside the black-lit holding room we decided to try to take out the very confident teenage boys dressed in black (for camoflauge purposes) who were being rather condescending about our playing abilities.
It was a free-for-all! Honestly, we all ended up shooting anything that moved. In the end, we burned off those extra beer and margarita calories and one of our moms walked away with the highest score! Ashley is the sweet, always smiling, innocent-looking mom in the center of the picture looking at the camera. The boys' response to the results was, "The moms ganged up on us."
