My boys are your typical "snakes and snails and puppy dog tails" boys. While in NO they had to get creative about playtime in their new environment. So, they caught a green tree frog and decided to build a terrarium for it. MiMi was very sweet to let them use whatever items around the house that they saw fit for the project.
After watching the boys spend so much time with their new pet and really having lots of fun (and not fighting), I decided to let them keep the frog. We went to Petco and discovered that holding the frog for hours on end, as Max had been doing, was not the best thing for his new friend. We bought a critter keeper, mulch, moss, a water "bowl", distilled water, a spray bottle, thermometer, humidity reader, a fake plant, suction cups to hold the plant to the wall, and crickets. Wow! So much for a "free" pet. At least we didn't have to pay the $6.99 they charge for the actual animal.
