One day Trey called and asked if we'd heard of a "Frank Lloyd Weber? an architect?" "You mean Frank Lloyd Wright? Yes, I've heard of him. Haven't you?" I guess they don't teach much American architecture in the Nuclear Engineering degree plan. But Trey passed near his famous Fallingwater house on the way back from camping in the area recently. Kerry's reaction was more or less, "Has he been living under a rock!" And he was rather surprised to hear that it was the most famous private residence in the country, hosting over 148,000 visitors yearly. So we had to go and check it out! Unfortunately, the "In-depth" tours sell out weeks-months in advance. Our Joe Shmoe regular tour was excellent; but the biggest difference: we were not allowed to take photographs of the interiors. Ugh!! Someone in our group actually got his camera taken away by a docent for being too sneaky. But his arrogant ass really deserved it:)
When I realized that all of the furniture was built into the house, I was in awe. How could someone decorate their home and never ever redecorate again?! Didn't these people ever change their minds about things? And I couldn't get over how well rugs and wicker dresser shelves held up. Obviously no children had ever lived there! There were also 2 Pablo Picassos and 2 Diego Riveras among other beautiful pieces of art, furniture, and stained glass lighting. We were told that the 4 servants had living quarters designed exactly like the main home. Hello! I'd be their servant. Please, check out the garage...
There was a corrugated cement awning covering the path to the guest house which mimicked a waterfall itself. (No picture of the pathway.)
Outside was a pool that filled with fresh water coming from upstream and a poolside statue of two parents about to throw their toddler in?
I also spotted this die-hard Steelers fan hanging around.
Look at those angels.

Where the hell is his beautiful hair?!? I hope he lets it grow out again!
I think his beautiful hair might be thinning out a little. I think he can pull off the Telly Savalas look, though.
